Malgr\u00e9 les multiples demandes de ces derniers, Baldvin ne veut pas \u00e9laguer son arbre, et sa femme, Inga, est bien d\u00e9cid\u00e9e \u00e0 ne pas satisfaire ses voisins. Elle ne cesse de d\u00e9blat\u00e9rer sur Eybjorg, seconde \u00e9pouse de Konrad, et bien plus jeune que lui.
